Opening Gala Evening where you can enjoy performances by professional International and South African Oriental Dancers
Baxter Theatre, Concert Hall, 8pm, Tickets: R150, Computicket
Friday 28th 9.30am- 9.30pm and Saturday 29th, 9.00am- 13.00am October 2011
Workshop days where you can learn from world best oriental dance teachers and performers

Fringe Program at the V&A Waterfront: at the Amphitheatre and Workshop 17, Shed next to the Blue Shed, Kraft Market. There will be performances of hundreds of belly dancers all dance levels, from beginner’s to professionals, from all over the world and South Africa. Performances begin at 10am and finish at 6pm, both days.
Entry is FREE of charge!
There is also a Bazaar where you can buy dancing accessories, jewellery, costumes, food and many more presented by small businesses from South Africa

attempting to break Guinness World Record, "Most people belly dancing simultaneously"

Who may participate by breaking the record?
Everybody who is able do learn and dance a Belly dance choreography for 5min, has a Belly Dance jingle belt, skirt or harem pants on. Participating is free of charge. You should just let us know and we will send you a form to fill in all the details which we require from you.
An instruction DVD with the Choreography will be sent to everybody who wants to be part of the event on cost of R30.
If you want to receive a general certification that you “where there”, will cost you R10 and if you like to have a citification with you name on it, then it will cost you R20. All this should be ordered in advance, so we know how many certifications should be printed.
